Loss

A very close friend of mine suffered a terrible loss earlier this week. I debated with myself if it would be appropriate to make any mention of it on my blog, but ultimately I decided that since this is my outlet that I would at least make a small post.

It bothers me greatly that I cannot be there for my friend at this time, but I know he is surrounded by family and friends who will lend him their support, love, and understanding. That sets my mind a little more at ease.

I know that lately I have been thinking on how important relationships are in life. This is just another reminder.

The End of an Era

As a long-time Chicago Bears fan, I find myself with conflicting emotions this morning. On the way in to work this morning, I heard the news that Brett Favre of the Green Bay Packers is retiring from the NFL. I am sad to hear that Brett Favre has finally decided to leave the game of football since every game he played in always had the chance to be exciting. On the other hand, he is no longer going to be around to torment and beat my Bears. In the end, I think the NFL will not be the same without him, but Brett Favre has certainly earned the right to do whatever he wants. I wish him and his family happiness and health.

So, the pictures are up now. Again, had a great time out there aside from my car getting dinged. Got the number for a body shop specializing in BMWs, but I haven't had a chance to call them yet. I expect to see them this week and I will have an idea how much it will cost me to repair. Still working on that long post I promised. One of these days ...
